Burlingame Aquatic Center
Children ages 4 and younger are required to have a parent/guardian in the water within arms’ reach; the children an will both wear red wristbands. This will indicate to the lifeguards that any child with a red wristband should have a parent in the water near them. A maximum of two children per adult will be allowed.
Children ages 5 to 3rd grade will be required to have a parent within the aquatic facility but they will not be required to be in the water. These children will not have a wristband unless they choose to swim in the 4ft end and/or deep end. If they pass their deep end swim test, they will receive a purple wristband (this is already our protocol).
Children above 3rd grade are not required to be supervised while in aquatic facility. These children will not have a wristband unless they choose to swim in the 4ft end and/or deep end. If they pass their deep end swim test, they will receive a green wristband (already our protocol as well).
